Have you found my procrastination-busting quiz?

Procrastination can be a big challenge for many of the people I work with. I wanted to make something to help, but:

– Just extending the list of tips in this post wasn’t going to go deep enough
– The article I started writing to follow up the previous one was going to be too long to be helpful if you’re trying to get unstuck
– Some kind of flow chart might work better, but following all those arrows would be a great way to procrastinate!

Then Jon Torrens (who, like me, is a member of Drive the Network) suggested this idea would make a great app. Which was actually pretty exciting, but I knew it could take me down an entire network of rabbit holes if I wasn’t careful. I needed to get this thing done in a few weeks or I’d end up with my own procrastination problem!

I tried creating an app using AI to save some time. It was actually really impressive – I managed to generate an entire app from a prompt just a few sentences long. But I would have needed to change all of the text so it sounded like me. That meant it was it was easier to set it up myself, and probably better for the environment too.

The quiz now been live for a few months and I’ve had some really positive feedback. It’s a quiz you can do in under 30 seconds that will help you work out what’s stopping you from starting that task, give you some suggestions for overcoming the block and even email you that list of suggestions so you can keep them.

You won’t need to enter your email address to begin because I wanted to make this as frictionless as possible. But you can enter your email address later if you’d like the results sent to you.
