ABOUT

Hello there, I’m Helen.

I help neurodivergent freelancers and self employed people to achieve clarity, confidence and success. I’m also a specialist mentor and study skills specialist for autistic university students for Randstad.

I’ve worked with people from all walks of life since I started out as an IT trainer in the 1990s, including further and higher education, the public and private sectors. Over the last 10 years, I’ve taught employability courses for adults aged 19-70 at a college and I ran my own email marketing business.

As time went by, I found I was increasingly working with neurodivergent people both in education and in my own business. I received feedback that I was good at breaking down concepts into simple steps, focusing on what was most important and that people found my calm, patient, manner really helpful.

My experience of small business marketing means that I understand the strategies needed for small business as well as the challenges that neurodivergence may bring in that setting. My IT training roots mean I’m confident in helping clients to use technology in an effective and human way.

I’m the co-author of the book ‘Start a family friendly business’ and have been the leader of a business networking group.
